Ricky Lane Wilson
Ricky Lane Wilson, age 72, passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2024 at his home after recent declining health.
Ricky was born in Danville, VA on October 28, 1952, the son of the late Everette Nelson Wilson and Margaret Finney Snead (Johnny Woodrow Snead). Ricky served in the U.S. National Guard, worked for Goodyear Tire & Rubber after a thirty-one year career. Ricky was a licensed auctioneer in Virginia & North Carolina for over 35 years and ran Cain Creek Western Supply after his retirement. He was an avid car enthusiast, enjoyed riding horses, and would lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Many were fortunate enough to have known him as Uncle Ricky, or Papa Rick.
Ricky is survived by his life partner Debra Doolin Easley of Ringgold, VA, three sons Eric Wilson (Megan) of Dry Fork, VA, Ray Eanes (Jennifer) of Youngsville, NC and Robert Allen Easley III (Lynsey) of Durham, NC, grandchildren James Wayne Wilson, and Emma Rae Easley. He is also survived by his nephew, Evan McNeely of Oak Island, NC. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Everett Nelson Wilson II.
Services will be conducted on Sunday, November 17, 2024 at Norris Funeral Services, Mt. Hermon Chapel with Rev. Bob Yeaman officiating. Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM with memorial services at 3:00 PM. The Wilson family encourages all friends who enjoyed the love of classic automobiles with him to bring your ride in memory of Ricky.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Ringgold Volunteer Fire Department or God’s Pit Crew.
