Rita Unroe

She was born August 8, 1928 in Iron Gate, Virginia to the late William Alexander Unroe and Maggie Mae Painter Unroe. She was an inspector for Parker-Hannifin, Corp. She was a member of Iron Gate Baptist Church and loved doing house work.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Stella Lowman, Mildred Campbell, and Hallie Bliss; six brothers, Carl, Pete, Harmon, Garland, Frank and Vincent Unroe.

She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and a sister-in-law, Nancy Unroe.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at 2:00PM in Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery, Clifton Forge with Mr. Chris Fisher officiating. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at Nicely Funeral Home.
