Robert "Bob" Sidney Hodges

Mr. Robert “Bob” Sidney Hodges, Jr., age 60, of Mount Airy passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at Surry Community Health and Rehabilitation Center in Mount Airy. Mr. Hodges was born March 7, 1964, in Surry County to the late Robert Sidney Hodges, Sr. and Estelle Oakley Hodges. Bob was a loving brother, uncle, great-uncle, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Surviving are his sisters and brother-in-law, Theresa Hodges Vaughn and Jerry Tharpe, Jackie Hodges Jones; a brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Libby Hodges; nieces, Brooke Cherry and Max, Stevie Hodges, Saprina Vaughn; nephews, BJ Hodges and Jamie, Justin Vaughn and Kacie, Mason McCraw, Andrew Vaughn; great nieces, Arya Whitaker; Lily May Whitaker, great nephews, Maverick Cherry, Phoenix Cherry, Kai Hodges, along with a host of friends. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hodges was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Stephen Hodges, Dennis Clyde Hodges; and a great niece, Penelope Whitaker. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Oakdale Cemetery in Mount Airy with Pastor Jason Johnson No formal visitation will be held at this time. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Surry Community Health and Rehab as well as the friends and family for all the loving support provided to Mr. Hodges.
