Robert Clayton Price

Robert Clayton Price, 81, passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2023. He was born in Danville, VA on July 29, 1942 to the late Ivonne Thompson Hammonds and the late Robert Clayton Price Sr. He was also predeceased by his loving wife of many years, Mrs. Mary Lou Owens Price.

Robert was of the Christian faith. He worked for many years as a conductor at Norfolk Southern Railroad. He was a avid outdoorsmen and loved fishing and hunting and spending time in his garden.

Mr. Price is survived by two daughters; Tracy Merricks (John) and Kelly Jo Earle; two sons; Robert Steven Price (Marsha) and Michael Clayton Price; six grandchildren; Jamie Connor, Jodi Shumate, Jeni Merricks, Kaitlin Hyler, Brittany Shelton, and Matthew Carter; eleven great-grandchildren; Kenzie Merricks, Drake Zaher, Lakely Shumate, Sailor Shumate, Navie Shumate, Cambri Merricks, Creed Ballard, Jace Luffman, Lucus Hyler, Kinsley Hyler and Josh Connor. He is also survived by his special dog Buddy.

In addition to his parents and wife, Robert was predeceased by a sister, Nancy Motsinger.
