Robert Earl Minnick

Robert “Bobby” Earl Minnick, Sr., 60, of Bassett, Virginia, passed away Thursday, August 15, 2024. He was born July 21, 1964, in Eden, North Carolina to the late Joseph Douglas Wilson and Peggy Ann Lundy Taylor.In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Melissa Ann Minnick; and step-father, Ralph Taylor.Bobby was a lifetime member of AMVET Post 35 and served his country in the United States Army. He was an automotive tech for more than 30 years and worked for Nelson Kia. Prior to working at Nelson, he ran B & J Auto in Bassett, Virginia, from 2006 to 2014. Bobby loved his family more than anything, as well as his dog, Kylie. He thoroughly enjoyed cooking on his Snap-On grill with family and friends. Bobby was an avid gamer and loved collecting different things.He is survived by his daughter, Leighann Foley (James); son, Robert “BJ” Minnick, Jr. (Courtney); sister, Kay Minnick; grandchild, Lera Minnick; nieces, Charity Alley, Ashley Dillon, and Hayden Kitzmiller; and nephew, Colton Kitzmiller.There will be a celebration of life held on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at AMVETS Post 35 in Collinsville, Virginia, beginning at 6:00 PM.
