Robert Gene Boyer

Robert “Bob” Gene Boyer, Sr. 75, of Ridgeway, Va. transitioned to his heavenly home on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at his residence after a battle with cancer. Bob was born on February 9, 1951, in Harrisonburg, Pennsylvania to Harold Comer and Catherine Spalding Comer.

In addition to his parents, Bob was predeceased by his daughter Dawn Maria Boyer.

He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Victoria Joan Thurston Boyer, 5 sons, Robert (Bobby) Boyer, Jr., Kyle Boyer (Samantha), Steven Kerns, Ricky Lee Kerns and David Kerns; sisters, Julie Tegi and Kim Howington (Eddie); brothers, Hal Comer and Randy Comer; 8 grandchildren, Dylan Boyer, Collin Boyer, Brady Boyer, Colton Boyer, Harlee Boyer, Isaiah Kerns, Tyler Williams and Donnie Kerns

Bob retired from Fairfax County, Va. as a truck driver with 26 years of service.

As much as Bob loved his family, he loved to fish just as much. He also loved his Ridgeway Bass Anglers family.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Rich Acres Christian Church. A memorial service will follow at 7:00 pm and will be officiated by Associate Pastor Benny Hankins.
