Robert James Ramey

Robert “White Boy Rob” James Ramey, Jr also known as “Poppy”, died, Tuesday, October 6, 2026. He was born on September 6, 1970, the only child of the late Elizabeth Eckert and Robert James Ramey, Sr. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents; cousins, Danny Ramey, Sr., Danny Ramey, Jr., and Tracy Barret Reed; grandson, Tristian Southern; mother and father-in-law, JR and Hope May; and son-in-law, Nate Ellison. He is survived by his wife of 17 years and partner of 19 years, Brandyne Moorefield Ramey; sons, Robbie Ramey (Shay), Dylan Ramey, Mason May; and AJ Southern (Tasha); daughter Allie Morefield (Buddy), Jamie Burton; numerous grandchildren that were his world; honorary daughter and son-in-law, Brittany and Derek Terry; daughter-in-law, Annie McGuire; and special (best) friend, Steve Pitman. He had a big heart and would do anything for anyone. He will be greatly missed. Celebration of Life Potluck will be held on October 25, 2026, at 2:00 pm at the 114 Community Building, 2173 Dominion Dr., Christiansburg, Va.
