Robert Jamison Montgomery, age 87 passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 as a result of an automobile accident. He is survived by his loving wife Carol, two sons, Dwaine (Opal) and David (Myrtle) and one daughter Dena (Allen) Layman, 19 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, one brother, Howard (Goldie), two sisters, Frances Rutrough and Catherine Bowman, sisters-in-law, Phyllis Bower Brubaker, Marlyn Updike (Jim), Kay Austin and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services are pending and will be announced by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
