Robert L. Tiedemann

August 25, 1936 - February 16, 2025

Robert L. Tiedemann, 88, Salem, Virgina passed away peacefully on February 16, 2025. Born on August 25, 1936, in Baltimore, Maryland, Robert had a deep love for his hometown and carried that pride throughout his life.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty Sue Catron Tiedemann and his son Robert Tiedemann II. Robert proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Air Force before dedicating 35 years to the commercial laundry business.

He is survived by his loving children, Sherry Carr, Dedra Tiedemann - Horn, Christopher Tiedemann, and Shawn Tiedemann. He also leaves behind his grandson, Robert L. Tiedemann III, as well as 10 additional grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Robert found joy in life’s simple pleasures, whether it was at the bowling alley, or cheering on the Virginia Tech Hokies, the Baltimore Orioles, and Washington Redskins. His warm spirit, love for sports, and unwavering dedication to family will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
