Robert Paige Gillispie

Robert Paige Gillispie (Bobby)Bobby was born January 17, 1943 and went to be with the Lord April 27, 2024.He was preceded in death by his parents Samuel and Thelma Gillispie, sisters Martha King and Norma Reynolds. Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Bonnie Spradlin Gillispie, son Darrel Gillispie and “favorite” Grandson Samuel Paige Gillispie II, of Raleigh NC, sister Gale Hudson, Also survived by brothers-in-law Jerry Spradlin, of Roanoke and Timothy Spradlin. Lots of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was loved by all who knew him. Bobby worked for the city of Roanoke for 37 years. He was a member of Garden City. The family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to Carilion Hospice, they are special people and provided excellent care, in his home.Special thank you for Pastor Barry Witt. He was always there. Bobby and family thought the world of him and still do. Also thank you for the visits, gifts, phone calls and other acts of kindness and love. There will be visitation at 12:00 noon and the service will follow at 1:00 pm. Fellowship after service.
