Robert Thomas Biggs

Robert “Bob” Thomas Biggs of Daleville passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2023. He was preceded in death by his wife, Andrea “Andy” Biggs; grandson, Preston Biggs and parents Robert and Cecilia Biggs.

Bob was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather who led a full life of service to his community. Bob was a founding member of the Roanoke Valley Deaf Fund and active member of the Optimist Club. He was a member of the Roanoke Valley Bird Club.

Hobbies and interests included hockey, football and showing cats. He was an avid Redskins fan. Bob had a long-time career with Kroger for 40 years. In his final years, he enjoyed reconnecting with his Catholic faith.

Surviving are his sons, Robert Drew Biggs and wife Sandy of Hilton Head, SC and Michael Edward Biggs and wife Meg of Bristol, VA; grandchildren Hannah Biggs, Spencer Greco (Krieg), and Abby Biggs (Ethan Press); one great grandchild, Lulu Jones-Biggs; sisters, Nancy Knudsen (Ray), Alice Amory (Greg Brown), and Suzanne Gavenus (Gary); Sister-in-laws Willa Burrows (Tony), and Kathy Helm; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 2 pm at Simpson Funeral Home Peters Creek Road Chapel. The family will recieve friends 1 hour prior to service time. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home. (540)366-0707
