Robert Wayne Cosner

Robert Wayne Cosner, 84, went to be with the Lord and his son, Greg, late Saturday evening, May 23, 2026.

He was born and lived in West Virginia until he married LaVerne and moved his family to Virginia where he worked as a licensed electrician for many years and then was grounds and maintanance supervisor for Virginia Department of Corrections at Troutville, VA where he retired.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Wayne and Cammie Cosner and his son, Gregory Wayne Cosner.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 64 years, LaVerne Cosner, daughter-in-law, Anita Cosner and grandson, Cory Wayne Cosner. Also extended family and friends whom he loved.

Bob loved to travel and camp and we did so in 48 states, until settling down in Florida for Winter months but back home to Virginia in the Spring. Then it was time to come home to his family, friends and his church where at one time he played guitar in the Gospel Choir which he loved. He also served on properties committee, he loved his church.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 5th at 2pm at the Cloverdale Church of the Brethren. Time with family and friends will follow after the service in the fellowship hall.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests making donations to the Cloverdale Church of the Brethren.
