Roger Arnold Haraway

Roger A. Haraway, 81, and a proud Vietnam War vet, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2026.

Born on April 21, 1945, Roger was the son of the late Mason Otis Haraway and the late Mary Jewel Dixon Haraway. He answered the call of duty and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1967-1969. Roger was wounded while in Vietnam and discharged from duty honorably. He then received the National Defense Service Medal, Republic Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and Purple Heart.

Roger leaves behind his siblings; Kenneth Haraway, Allen Haraway, Diane H. Meadows, Denise H. Bridgen (Barry), and Deborah R. Price (David).

The family would like to offer its sincerest thanks to Commonwealth Home Healthcare for all of their assistance in these difficult times. We are forever grateful for their help.

Rogers wishes were to be cremated and not to have a Celebration of Life Service, so in honoring his wishes, no Formal Services are planned at this time.
