Roger Dale Hurst

Roger Dale Hurst, 74, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2025. Dale was born in Virginia, but spent many wonderful years living in Tennessee. He was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar B. Hurst and Gertrude Hurst Shelton; wife, Nancy Carol Thomas Hurst; sister, Judy Goad, brothers-in-law, Maynard Horton and Richard Kemp; niece, Angie Jones; and nephew, Josh Jones.

Survivors include his daughters, Serita Diane Hurst Melton and Wendy Michelle Hurst; grandchildren, Amanda Hurst Stump, Jacob Dale Hurst, Robert “Devan” Hurst, and Bryanna Hurst; great grandchildren, Hunter, Jaxxon, Izabella and Roman; sisters, Joyce Elaine Kemp, Jerry Lou Horton, Penny (John) Bruce, and Melissa (Wookie) Thompson; very special dog, Bucky the Corgi; Serita and Wendy’s mother, Ruby Anderson; close relative, Gordon Hurst; and many other relatives and friends in Virginia and Tennessee.

Services will be private.
