Ronald Dean Mason

Ronald Dean Mason, 83, of Bassett, VA, passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, peacefully at his residence. He was born on October 21, 1939, to the late Kenneth R. Mason and Frances McCraw Mason.

Ronald is survived by his daughter, Rhonda Mason; a son, Kenneth Mason; two grandchildren, Lauren Thornton, and husband (Todd), Ryan Mason and wife (Savannah); 4 great-grandchildren, RJ Mason, Zachary Mason, Jace Mason, Lilia Thornton; a brother, Donald Gene Mason; two nieces, Elizabeth Ungrey, Donna Mason; and a host of other family and friends.

He was loved by many and will be deeply missed.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 24, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Bassett Funeral Service Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. The interment will be at Roselawn Burial Park immediately following the service.
