Ronald Wayne Shotwell

Ronald Wayne Shotwell, 63, of Martinsville, VA passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2025. He was born on July 31, 1962, in Alton, VA to the late Robert Wayne Shotwell and Lorene Long Shotwell.

He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1980-2000. After his military career, he worked for many years at Patrick & Henry Community College, where he truly enjoyed his work and valued the people, he had the opportunity to work with.

He is survived by his wife, Amy R. Shotwell; daughter, Shannon Shotwell; son, Joseph Shotwell; stepsons, James Wimbish, and Cody Liles; two sisters, brother, Kenneth Shotwell; and three grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Norris Funeral Services, Martinsville Chapel. Burial will be held later at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Diabetes Association in memory of Ronald Shotwell.
