Ronald William Crumpton

Ronald William Crumpton, age 91 of Danville, Virginia passed away Thursday, April 17, 2025, at SOVAH Health, Danville. Mr. Crumpton was born June 29, 1933, in Pelham, NC to the late Edna Arnold Crumpton and the late Clarence Crumpton. He was married to Kathleen Joyce Crumpton, who survives, of the residence.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and later worked at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., Danville, for 27 years prior to his retirement. He enjoyed working on watches and loved working in his yard. He was a member of Riverview Baptist Church of Danville.

Mr. Crumpton is survived, in addition to his wife, by two daughters, Rhonda Holdaway (Wayne Robertson) of Danville and Diane Turner (Rodger) of Blairs; two grandchildren, Stephen (Elizabeth) and Jill (Austin); three great-grandchildren, Ashton, Ivy, and Whit; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his beloved parents, he was also predeceased by three sisters, Virginia, Dorothy, and Elizabeth; three brothers, Earl, Wallace, and Cotton; and one great-grandchild, Ryland.

A funeral service will be held Monday, April 21, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Norris Funeral Services, West End Chapel, Danville, with Pastor Daniel Custer officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Danville Memorial Gardens, Danville, VA.

The family will receive friends at the residence at other times.
