Ronnie J. Spears

Ronnie J. “Moose” Spears, age 82, of Dublin, Virginia, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, dedication, and deep love for his family and his savior The Lord Jesus Christ. He proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Air Force. In his early years, Ronnie showcased his strong work ethic laboring as a coal miner, and later dedicated many years of skilled service as an electrician for the Volvo Trucks North America. Outside of work, he found great joy in camping and working outdoors, but his greatest happiness came from the time he spent surrounded by his loved ones. Ronnie was the devoted husband to Janie, his beloved wife of 61 years. He was the loving father to Jennifer Justice (Kent), Scott Spears (Jenifer), Austin Spears (Kim), and Angie Simpkins (Todd). Grandchildren, Matt Justice (Kristen), Jordan Mayton (Daniel), Devin Hill (Mackenzie), Logan Simpkins (Savannah Speese), Aaron Spears, Zoe Huff (Johnathan), Phoebe Cook (Nathan), Ashton Spears, Heidi Spears and Riley Spears. Siblings, Patty Cleveland and Patrick Anderson. He was also blessed with multiple great-grandchildren who brought him immense joy. Also a very special thank you to caregiver and beloved sister-in-law, Kathy Rutherford. A celebration of life to honor Ronnie's life will be determined at a later date.
