Rose Mary Vaughn

Rose Mary Vaughn, 72, of Martinsville, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2026. She was born on January 23, 1954, in Patrick County, Virginia, to the late Charlie Amos Vaughn and Christine Hagwood Vaughn.

In addition to her parents, Rosa was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles Vaughn and Phillip Vaughn.

Rosa made her home in Martinsville, Virginia. Throughout her working years, she devoted herself to the medical field, where she worked as a caregiver. Her caring nature extended well beyond her profession. Rosa enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and was known for never meeting a stranger.

She is survived by her daughters, Toushia Vaughn and Shelby Pettie (Richard); her sons, Rico Vaughn, Dexter Vaughn, Bobby Craig, Jr., and Trevor Vaughn; her brothers, Steve Vaughn (Esler), Jerome Vaughn (Tina), Kenny Vaughn, Herbert Vaughn, and Herman Vaughn; her sisters, Doris Casey (Willie) and Jennifer Vaughn; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and other family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Wright Funeral Service – Martinsville Chapel with Pastor Benjamin Redd, officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
