Roy Lee Songer

Roy Lee Songer, 85, of Troutville, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 23, 2026. He was preceded in death by his son, Gary Lynn Songer; parents, Hazel and Lewis Songer; brother, Carl Marshall Songer; and grandmother, Ada Ahl.

Roy is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Patricia Ann Songer; sisters, Iona Songer Brookman and Bernice Songer Sweeney; brother, James Harvey Songer (Sharon); and several nieces and nephews.

Roy was very humble. He loved the Lord and was faithful to his church, East Gate Church of the Nazarene. He was a hard worker at Wilson Trucking for 32 years.

The family will have a Memorial Service on Saturday, October 31, 2026 at 10:30 am at East Gate Church of the Nazarene, 2002 Eastgate Ave NE, Roanoke, VA 24012.
