Roy William Reynolds

Roy William Reynolds, 85, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2024, at Ancora Compassionate Care in Reidsville, NC. He was born April 21, 1938, in Patrick County Virginia, to the late James Reynolds and Sarah Hagwood Reynolds.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Geraldine Reynolds, Aimee Redd, and Christine Reynolds Hairston; and brothers, James Lee Reynolds, Jr., Howard L. Reynolds, and Randolph Reynolds.He was a member of True Gospel Church. He loved the outdoors, was a people person and never met a stranger. He also loved riding around visiting friends and dearly loved his grandchildren.Roy is survived by his daughter, Lisa Preston (Terry); son, Roy Dewight Reynolds; adopted children, Vera “Nikki” Thomas, and Eric Thomas; grandchildren, Telesa Reynolds, and Christopher DeQuan Hairston; great grandchildren, Jameer Reynolds, Jysiere Reynolds, Amagyn Reynolds, Dearelajay Hodge, Jr., Demarlo Hodge, and Truth Reynolds Hodge, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.Visitation will be at Wright Funeral Service Chapel, Friday, January 26, 2024, from 2:00 to 3:00 PM.
