Ruby Russell Osborne

Ruby Russell Osborne, age 85, of Danville, Virginia, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2026, at her residence.

Mrs. Osborne was born on March 24, 1941, to the late Margie Terry Russell and Henry Russell.

Ruby spent most of her life in Danville where she worked as an inspector for Dan River Mills.

Mrs. Osborne is survived by her son, Timothy Osborne (Sonia); grandchildren, Abigail Martin and Olivia Osborne; nieces, Lisa Crawford, Pam Prevett, and Teresa Harris; nephews, Steven Phillips, Kevin Phillips, Charles Mayhew, Russell Mayhew, and Ben Mayhew; great-niece, Casey Crawford Long; and cousin, Dale Neal.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Frances Mayhew and nephew, Paul Mayhew.

A celebration of life for Mrs. Osborne will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Norris Funeral Services – West End Chapel with Pastor Anthony Thomasson officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
