Russell Wayne Moore

Russell Wayne Moore, age 67, of Danville, Virginia, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2026, at Inova Fairfax Hospital, in Fairfax, Virginia.

Mr. Moore was born on October 23, 1959, to the late Alice Marie Elliott Moore and Richard T. Moore.

Russell spent many years a musical director at Silver Springs Presbyterian Church in Maryland.

Mr. Moore is survived by numerous cousins along with his Aunt Ann Davis Moore.

In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his brother, Roger Scott Moore.

Funeral services for Mr. Moore will be conducted on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Norris Funeral Services – West End Chapel with Pastor David Bunch and William Van Wijngaarden officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m.

Interment will follow at Danville Memorial Gardens.
