Ruth Ellen Burns Rodgers

Ruth Ellen Burns Rodgers, 72, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2024 at her residence. She was born on December 8, 1951 in Danville, VA to the late Gladys Elliott Burns and the late Melford Burns.

Ruth was of the Christian faith and a longtime member of Moffett Memorial Baptist Church. She worked in the Banking industry for many years as a Bank Teller, previous to her retirement.

Ruth is survived by a son; Sean Rodgers and wife Amanda of Danville, VA; two sisters; Jean Burns Walker and Melvia Burns Echols, both of Danville, VA; and her special companions/dogs; Claire and Emily.

A private Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
