Sadie A. Shaffer

Sadie Anglin Shaffer, age 93 of Bluefield, West Virginia and formerly of Martinsville passed away on January 20, 2024.

Mrs. Shaffer was born on June 6, 1930 to the late Willie Jackson Anglin and the late Nannie Bet Varner Anglin. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. Shaffer, a son-in-law, Thomas Barnard, two sisters, Alice McDonald, Frances Bazemore and a brother, Lewis Daniel Anglin. She retired in 1992 from Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County. She was a member of the Mayo Christian Church.

Mrs. Shaffer is survived by one daughter, Millicent Shaffer Barnard, one son, Randall Jackson Shaffer (Donna), three grandchildren, Russell Jackson Barnard, Sarah Katherine Barnard, Lindsey Marie Shaffer Keczan and 5 great grandchildren.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, January 26, 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Mayo Christian Church Cemetery, 4949 George Taylor Road, Spencer, VA with the Reverend Curt Ashley officiating.
