Sallie "Katy" Kathleen Turner

Sallie Kathleen “Katy” Turner, 71, of Martinsville, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2024, at Stanleytown Health and Rehab. She was born in Collinsville, Virginia, on August 3, 1953, to the late Lancaster Turner, and Lucy Kathleen Ramsey Turner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, George Thomas Turner.Katy was a dog lover, enjoyed nature and walking in the woods. She was a photographer and spent much time reading her Bible. Katy worked at Family Dollar Store and was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.Katy is survived by Fred Turner and several nieces and nephews.A graveside service will be Friday, January 3, 2024, at 2:00 PM, at Roselawn Burial Park with Pastor Randy Aldridge officiating.Memorials may be made to Hillcrest Baptist Church, 895 A.
