Sandra Altice Cole

Sandra Altice Cole, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, mother-in-law, aunt, and friend, passed peacefully on March 5, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loved ones.

Sandra was born on August 7, 1944, to Rufus H. Altice and Daily L. Altice. Sandra was a beautiful soul with an infectious laugh and a childlike heart. She loved and cared for others deeply. She was a great cook and enjoyed feeding her family. She loved butterflies and had a large collection of them. She was quietly artistic and creative with a talent for drawing that few knew about. She had two cats that were her babies, D.O.G and Winnie.

Sandra was predeceased by her parents, sister, Naomi Carroll; her husband of 39 years, Wilbur Carlton Cole, Sr.; daughter, Tracy Munoz; stepdaughter, Jeannie Cole; two stepsons, Clyde and Alan Cole and a very special son-in-law, Al Crespo.
She is survived by sons, Bill Cole, Jr., and wife, Brandy of Gretna, Va., and Bobby Cole and wife, Tina of Chatham, Va; daughters, Lynn Cassell and husband, Tom and Wilma Crespo both of Salem, Va.; stepson, Tony Cole and wife, Teresa from Georgia. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren: Michael, Paul, Heather, Jesse, Trey, Hannah, Blake, Tanner, Josh, Winston, Anissa, Amera, and Keith and numerous great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held on March 12, 2024, at 3:00 pm at Butts Cemetery on Parr Road, Salem, Va. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 pm at John M. Oakey and Son Funeral Home, Salem, VA 24153.
