Sandra Kaye Newman-Carr,77, of Roanoke, Virginia, passed away Saturday, September 14, 2024.She was a retiree of AT&T Corp, formerly Bell South.Sandra was a wonderful wife, mom, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and neighbor. She will be remembered for her beautiful flower gardens which she kindly shared with everyone.Her greatest legacy of all was her unconditional love and devotion to her family especially to her two daughters and her grandchildren.Sandra is predeceased by her parents, Odell and Maggie Newman: grandmother, Charity Craighead; sister, Carla Nunley; special uncle, David Childress.Sandra is survived by her husband, Reid Carr; daughters, Robin Markham (RG) and Holly Weddle (Kevin); stepson, Jon Carr; grandchildren, TJ Perdue, Joseph Weddle, Devin Weddle, Trevor Weddle, Amelia Weddle, Zeke Weddle, Allex Carr and Kaylee Joe Carr; brothers and sisters-in-law Russell and Linda Newman, Wayne and Vicki Newman, Kenny and Louise Newman, and brother Tony Newman; numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.A celebration of Sandra’s life will be held Monday, September 23, 2024, at 6pm at Lotz Funeral Home Roanoke 1001 Franklin Road Roanoke, VA 24016.Online condolences may be made at www.lotzfuneralhomeroanoke.com
