Sandra Marie Haire
Sandra Marie Haire, 63, of New Castle, Virginia passed away on Friday, January 20, 2023.
She was born, February 22,1959 in Washington State. She was one of seven children to the late Thomas Davis Pritchard, Sr and Eula Pearl Pritchard both of Baltimore, Maryland.
Preceding her in death were her two brothers; James Allen Holt of York, Pennsylvania and Duane Richard Haire of Shippensburg, Pennsylvania.
Sandra had two loves in her life, her late husband Edward Eugene Crowder and the late Thomas Gene Byrd (TJ).
Sandra’s whole world was her family, she lived each and every day to bring love and happiness to her children and grandchildren. She was a loving mother to her children Thomas Edward Crowder (and his wife Stacey) of New Castle, Virginia; Tonya Marie Crowder of Pasadena, Maryland; and Angela Dawn Crowder-Hernandez (and her husband Ulises) of Baltimore, Maryland. Stacey Braun Crowder was an important part of Sandra’s life not only as daughter-in-law but as a daughter, taking care of her and always being there for her. Sandra lovingly called Stacey “Sis”.
Sandra is survived by four brothers, Bruce Haire (and his wife Regina) of Shrewsbury, Pennsylvania; Thomas Davis Pritchard Jr. of North Carolina; Michael Wayne Pritchard (and his wife Angela) of Essex, Maryland and Jeffrey Graham Pritchard of Baltimore, Maryland. She was also survived by numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends she loved and cherished.
Sandra has nine grandchildren that she loved and kept dear to her heart. She was lovingly known to her grandchildren as “Nana” except for one little guy who called her “Maw-Maw”, her Doc-A-Roonie. She had a special nickname she often called each grandchild, Dillon Eugene Crowder (Dillie-Willie), Allison Erin Bowling (Sweets), Ryne Thomas Crowder (Doc-A-Roonie); Agustin Cardenas, Jr. (Tink), Landon James Cardenas (LJ), Alejandro Jose Cardenas (AJ); Selena Marie Hernandez (LaLa), Ulises Valente Hernandez, Jr., (Dodah), Isabella Rose Hernandez (Lou-Lou). You would often hear her say, “I have enough grandkids for a baseball team.”
Sandra was a lead chef at G & A Restaurant in Highlandtown, Maryland for over 20 years. In her past time, you would find her cooking, playing games, laughing and reminiscing about her past. She loved to socialize and spend time with family and friends.
A funeral will be celebrated 3:00pm Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Rader Funeral Home; 630 Roanoke Road, Daleville. Sandra's family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday one hour prior to the service.
