Scott Andrew Eanes

Scott Andrew Eanes, 59, of Danville, VA passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on October 31, 2023. He was born in Danville, VA on February 23, 1964 to the late Elsie Rigney Eanes and the late William Eanes.

Scott worked for the Danville City Police Department as a police officer for 33 years previous to his retirement. He is also a life member of Danville Life Saving Crew and member of Blairs Fire and Rescue. He is of the Christian Faith.

Scott is survived by two sons; Andrew Eanes and fiancé Alyssa and Joseph Eanes and girlfriend Desiree both of Danville, VA; two sisters; Ann Eanes of Danville, VA and Amy Rowland (Doug) of Blairs, VA, one brother; Marty Eanes (Cindy) of Danville, VA; one granddaughter; Morgan “Pootie Poot” Ivory Eanes, and his beloved dog Raven.

In addition to his parents, Scott was predeceased by a brother, Mr. Timothy Eanes.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at 11:00am at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel, Danville, VA, with Sheriff Mike Taylor presiding. Interment will follow at Highland Burial Park. A visitation will be held on Friday, November 3, 2023 at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel, Danville, VA from 6-7:30pm. At other times the family will receive friends at the residence.
