Scott Crawford Howard

Scott Howard Sr., 63, passed away on January 16, 2026. He was born on March 28, 1962.

Scott was the kind of person who liked to stay busy and work with his hands. He took pride in fixing things, figuring stuff out, and doing things his own way. Years ago, he loved riding his Harleys and enjoying the freedom of the open road. He was also a natural jokester — always cracking jokes, teasing, and finding a way to make people laugh.

He is survived by his son, Scott Howard Jr.; his daughter-in-law, Katlyn Howard; and his grandson, Scott Howard III (“Tripp”), who meant the world to him.

Scott was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Howard; his mother, Brenda Howard; and his sister, Sindy Tryon.

He also leaves behind numerous buddies and friends who will remember him for his humor, loyalty, and the good times shared — as well as his best buddy, Max, his loyal dog and constant companion.

He’ll be remembered for his sense of humor, his hands-on spirit, and the laughs he shared with family, friends, and anyone lucky enough to know him.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, January 24, 2026 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Updike Funeral Home, Bedford.
