Scott Herald

Scott Allen Herald, age 34, of 3502 Douthat Road, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Friday, February 9, 2024 at his residence.
Scott was born August 12, 1989 in Roanoke, Virginia to Steve and Donna Farley Herald. He was a graduate of Alleghany High School, and a laborer in the construction business. He was a member of Life Lines Ministries. Scott was an adventurous, loving, young man who enjoyed roller coasters, comedy, spelunking, spending time on the river, and being outdoors. He loved animals and housed several pets, some domestic, some wild, over the years. He was a husband, a brother, and a son who will be well remembered by his brothers and sisters as a fun, joyful person who taught them many things.
In addition to his parents, Steve and Donna Herald of Clifton Forge, Scott is survived by his wife, Anmarie Allen Herald of Clifton Forge; four sisters, Janelle Herald of Covington, Nicole May of Covington, Hunter Ardry of Clifton Forge, and Brittany Hancock of Clifton Forge; five brothers, David Herald of Rocky Mount, Michael Herald of West Virginia, Travis Herald of Fincastle, Keith Herald of Clifton Forge, and Reggie Gibbs of Arizona; his father- and mother-in-law, Ray and Cherie Allen of Clifton Forge; many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Clay Jones, Lonnie Allen, and his dog, “Purty”.
In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated. A private service will be held at a later date.
