Sharon Faye Lynskey

Sharon Faye Lynskey, age 60, of Martinsville, Virginia passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at Beacon Place Hospice in Greensboro, NC. Miss. Lynskey was born October 11, 1965, in Martinsville, to Linda Hughes Lynskey and the late James O. Lynskey.

Miss. Lynskey was a member of Chatmoss Baptist Church and was a registered nurse for over thirty years until her illness, she worked at Lewis-Gale Hospital and Martinsville Hospital. She was active in church, helping with the Awana Club and various other functions. She loved spending time with children and teaching them about Jesus. She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her.

In addition to her beloved mother, she is survived by her brother, James O. “Jimmy” Lynskey and his wife Wendy, her nieces, Siera Lynskey and Jamie Nicole Lynskey-Hicks and her husband Daniel. She has a large extended family along with her beloved pets.

In addition to her father, she was also predeceased by her brother, Stephen Duane Linskey.

Funeral service honoring Sharon will be held Thursday, July 2, 2026, 11:00 a.m. at Norris Funeral Services, West End Chapel with Pastor Rodney Houston officiating. A visitation will be held prior to the funeral from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m., also at Norris Funeral Service. Burial will be private at the Lynskey Family Cemetery. At other times the family will receive friends and family at the residence.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial donations be made to Beacon Place Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
