Sheldon "Shelly" Rosenbloom

March 20, 1941 - September 14, 2024

Sheldon “Shelly” Rosenbloom passed away at the age of 83 on September 14, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents Nathan and Shirley Bonn Rosenbloom.

He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Linda; his daughter, Jennie Miner (Craig); his three sons, Mark (Maria), Scott (Amy) and Forrest (Jessica); and his step-daughters, Annette McKinney (Todd) and Susan Painter (David). He has 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

He grew up in Washington D.C. and was employed at the Government Printing Office for 17 years. He left there after a work accident forced his retirement. He then drove a school bus in Maryland for 6 years and after moving to Roanoke drove a bus for the Roanoke County Schools from which he retired in 2014 after 31 years.

His main hobby and passion was old cars. He produced, attended and supported many car shows and cruise-ins. He was a lifetime member of Star City Cruisers.

The family wants to thank Good Samaritan Hospice and all their special angels.

There will be a visitation at Lotz Funeral Home, 1330 East Main Street, Salem, VA on Wednesday, September 18 from 4:00 until 7:00 pm and a graveside service at Restvale Cemetery in Floyd County, VA on Thursday at 11:00 am.
