Sherry Leigh Brumfield

Sherry Leigh Brumfield, 69, was born on November 12, 1956, and passed away on October 6, 2026.

Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, Freda and Dennis Brumfield, and her beloved dog, Star.

Left to cherish her memory are her best friends, Rita Layne, Marilyn Holley Woods, and Belinda Sink, her aunt, Louise, and her cousins, Judy, Jenny, and Jeff.

Sherry had a special love for animals and nature, especially birds and dogs. These brought her great joy throughout her life.

A special thank you to the A.C.G. Hospice nurses and the staff at Daleville Health and Rehab for the care they provided to Sherry.

A visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 12, 2026, at Lotz Funeral Home Salem. A chapel service will follow at 2:00 p.m., with committal following at Sherwood Memorial Park.
