There are no words that truly seem big enough to describe what she meant to her family. Sherry was the heart of the family. She loved them more than anything in this world, and there was never any doubt about how much her family meant to her. Her love was steady, caring, and unconditional.
Sherry shared 57 beautiful years with her husband, Bob. Their life together was filled with love, memories, and the kind of bond that comes from spending more than half a century side by side. Bob was her husband, her partner, and the person she had chosen to share her life with. Their love was something special.
Sherry loved being a mother to Bobby, Shannon, and Mandy. Always involved in their activities and lives, her unconditional love for them was unequaled. From being a room mother in elementary school to assisting in school projects to sending care packages to them in college to helping move them across the country, Sherry was always there for her children. She was their biggest advocate.
Sherry was so happy to be a grandmother. Damien brought her a kind of joy that was impossible to miss. She treasured being his Nan and loved every opportunity to spend time with him. Her greatest happiness was simply having her family together.
And then there was Nellie. Sherry loved that dog with all her heart. Nellie was more than a pet—she was family, a companion, and a little piece of comfort and happiness in Mom’s everyday life.
Sherry loved the beach. She loved being there, taking in the water, the sounds, and the feeling of peace that came with it. Those memories will always be precious to her family.
Life wasn't always easy for Sherry. She faced medical challenges that tested her in ways many people never saw. But through it all, she continued to love. She continued to care about the people around her. She continued to be a wife to her husband, a mom to her children, and a grandmother to her grandson.
One of the hardest things for her family is knowing how much she was looking forward to Christmas this year with family at a cabin in the Tennessee mountains. She was looking forward to more time with her family, more memories together, and simply being surrounded by the people she loved. Her family wishes with all their hearts that they could have given her that time.
Sherry leaves behind her husband, Bob; her children, Bobby, Shannon, and Mandy; her son-in-law Mitchell; her beloved grandson, Damien; her siblings Linda, Trisha, Bugsy, Ricky, and Debbie; many nieces and nephews, and many friends that were like family . But what she really leaves behind is so much more—a lifetime of love, memories, stories, and pieces of herself that will live on in all who knew her.
Her family will miss her voice, her presence, her hugs, and all the little things that made her a wife, a mother, and a grandmother. Sherry's family will miss being able to call her, see her, and know she was there.
Her family is heartbroken that she is gone, but they are so grateful that she was in their lives.
