Shirley Ann Edmonds May

Mrs. Shirley Ann Edmonds May, age 74, passed away at the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC, on April 9th, 2023, She was born in Surry County on September 2, 1948, to the late Luther Marvin Edmonds and the late Magdalene Brintle Edmonds. In additions she was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Neal May; nephew, Jason Wilmoth. She was a member of Glory Light Baptist Church. Surviving is her sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Junior Wilmoth; brother, Ronnie Edmonds; niece, Michele Wilmoth, Shelia and Stan Wilson; great-nephew Jayden Clay. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM April 12, 2023, in Glory Light Baptist Church, with burial to follow in the Church Cemetery. Rev. Keith Jones will conduct the services. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church. The family request in lieu of flowers to give to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care 1427 Edgewood Dr. Suite 101 Mt. Airy, NC 27030. There will be no formal services held at Moody-Davis Funeral Home.
