Shirley Jean Lusk Littles

Shirley Jean Lusk Littles, 81, of Axton, Virginia, passed away Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born in Virginia, to the late Arthur Lusk and Era Massey Hodge. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Carl Lusk, Wilber Jack Lusk and William David Hankins, Sr.She was a homemaker, and enjoyed cooking, and working in the garden, and she loved arts and crafts.Shirley is survived by her sons, Albert R. Sherwood, Jr. (Rickie), Joseph W. Sherwood (Barbara), Samuel L. Sherwood, and George J. Sherwood; sister, Gloria Villemarette; brothers, Joel Lusk and Harden Hankins; grandchildren, Autumn Grace Sherwood, Jody Sherwood, David Hundley, Samuel Gillespie, and Nathan Gillespie; and great-grandchildren, Allison Gillespie, David Lee and Dixie Kay Hundley.The funeral will be Thursday, October 5, 2023, at 3:30 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel, 1425 Greensboro Road, Martinsville, with Pastor Charles Waller officiating. Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow at P.M. "Pak" O’Dell Cemetery, Morgan Ford Road, Ridgeway.Wright Funeral Service and Crematory is serving the family.
