Shirley Sites

Ms. Shirley Smith Sites, age 88, of Lynchburg, died Thursday, December 19, 2024, at Runk-Pratt at Liberty Ridge, Lynchburg.
Ms. Sites was born November 27, 1936 in Alleghany County, the daughter of the late Hollis Haywood Smith and Edna Persinger Smith. During her working career, she had been employed as a bank teller. Ms. Sites attended West Lynchburg Baptist Church. Shirley was a member of the Rebekahs. She loved traveling and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
Ms. Sites is survived by her sons, Guy Edward Sites, Jr. of Lynchburg and Paul Lee Sites and wife, Colleen of Forrest; her grandchildren, Amber Sites, John Sites, Cody Sites , Nicole Sites and Matthew Sites; three great grandchildren; her sisters, Barbara Sue Smith of Roanoke and Norma Smith Wilson and husband, Gene of Knoxville, TN;, and a number of nieces and nephews
In addition to her parents, Ms. Sites was preceded in death by her siblings, Hollis Haywood Smith, Jr. in 2008, James Luther Smith in 2000, Harold Jeter "Doc" Smith in 2007 and Velma Lee Smith In 1955.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, December 26, 2024, from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Pastor Frank Sizemore officiating. Interment will follow in Fletcher Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Thursday afternoon from 1:00 P.M. until time of service at Loving Funeral Home.
