Silas Brascom Jewell

Silas Bascom Jewell II, 80, of Ringgold, Virginia, passed away Thursday, October 1, 2026. He was born December 24, 1945, in Grundy, Virginia, to the late Silas Bascom Jewell, Sr., and Ellen Underwood Jewell Sparks.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Tom Jewell and Wendell Jewell; sisters, Linda Gale Jewell and Dorothy Jewell; and great-grandson, William Dale Cassell.

Silas was affiliated with the Church of God. He retired after many years of service at Virginia Mirror Company.

He is survived by his daughters, Linda Jewell and Robin Belsinger; son, Silas B. Jewell III (Darcey); six grandchildren, Alicia Garcia, William Cassell, James Killz, Chris Jewell, Lauren Belsinger; and Zack Belsinger; four great-grandchildren, Christian Ramirez, Emily Ramirez, Alex Campos, and Anderson Campos; and two great-great-grandchildren, Colton Campos and Thiago Torres; other family members and friends.

A funeral service will be held Monday, October 5, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service-Martinsville, Virginia. A visitation will held one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will be held at Mountain View Cemetery.
