Stacy Leigh Minter

Stacy Leigh Minter, 59, of Ridgeway, Virginia, passed away Sunday, February 11, 2024. She was born December 27, 1964, in Martinsville, Virginia, to Junior Ray Maxey and the late Bonnie Fay Chitwood Shelton.Stacy was of the Baptist Faith and graduated from Fieldale-Collinsville High School in 1984. She really enjoyed crafting and making things for others. She loved to play all kinds of card games with her family and friends. She was a dedicated employee of Walmart where she served our community for twenty-one years. She loved her work family and there was not a day that she didn’t see someone that she had helped throughout her years of employment. Above all she loved her grandkids to heaven and back.She is survived by her husband, John Eggleston Minter, Jr.; stepfather, Sammy Shelton; daughter, Margie Ann Minter; sons, Joshua Eric Minter (Meaghan) and Jonathan Ryan Minter (Sierra); brothers, Christopher “Chris” Ray Maxey (Julie) and Jon “Matt” Matthew Shelton (Janice); niece, Summer Skylar Shelton; grandchildren, Jayden Elijah Minter, Gavin Reed Minter, Makenna Caroline Hassell, Amelia Michelle Minter, Nathan Drew Minter, and Kayleigh Jade Stallard; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins family and friends.The memorial service will be Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at 6:00 PM at Cross Point Church with Pastor Tony Beach officiating.In lieu of flowers please make donations to Stacy’s services at Wright Funeral Service at (276) 632-2206.
