Stanley "Bo Jack" Baker
Stanley R. Baker (aka Bo Jack), age 66, of Pamplin, VA gained his wings at Centra Southside Community Hospital on April 29, 2024. He was born to the late Phil, Jr. and Mary Baker.
He attended Charlotte County Public Schools and joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Red House, at a young age.
Stanley was a farm worker and also held down several jobs such as J & J Junk Yard and then found a job that he loved, Kynite Mining, until his health failed him.
Bo Jack loved playing cards with family, watching westerns and playing the lottery. His famous saying about the VA lottery was “Bo-Know.” He was a friend to many.
He was preceded in death by his three brothers, Thomas Baker, Joseph Baker and Earnest Baker.
Left to cherish his memory are his three sons, Terran Wright of Appomattox, VA, Tramaine Wright of Farmville, VA and Thomas White (Sabrina) of Pamplin, VA, a Very Special friend Jackie Smith; four sisters; Margaret Wright, Mary Baker, Helen Baker, LaVerne Lee all of Appomattox, VA; one brother; Roy Baker (Kitty) of Baltimore, Md. and eight grandchildren.
Truly Stanley will be missed by his nieces, nephews, family and friends. He had a very strong bond with his boss, Steve Brown.
We will ride it out, he fought a good fight.

A funeral service for Mr. Baker will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at 4 p.m. in the chapel of the Bruce & Stiff Funeral Home.
Public viewing will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, in the funeral home chapel from 2-5 p.m.
