Stanley Evans Morehead

On Friday, November 25, 2022, Stanley Evans Morehead, loving father, brother and all around amazing person passed away at age 70.
Stan was born in Bluefield, WV to Claude and Bettye (French) Morehead.
He made his career working as a real estate appraiser. Stan was very proud of his work but really valued the friendships he made in almost every county courthouse in Southwestern Virginia.
Stan had a passion for life. He loved to cheer for Hokie football and cook fantastic meals for his friends and family. Stan will always be remembered for his quick wit, great smile, infectious laugh but most importantly for his kind and compassionate spirit. His kindness and compassion extended well beyond people to his unparalleled love of animals.
Stan was preceded in death by his father, Claude, and his mother, Bettye. He is survived by his sister Jan, his son Bryant (Stephanie), and his long time partner Doris Moore. There are many extended family members that will miss him greatly.
A funeral and celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Rocky Gap United Methodist Church on North Scenic Highway, Rocky Gap, VA 24366 at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation For Parkinson’s Research or to the Bland County Volunteer Rescue Squad.
