Sunny Dawn Holley
On January 27, 2025, at the age of 48, Sunny Dawn Holley’s battle against metastatic breast cancer came to an end and she went to be with our Lord God in Heaven. Throughout her journey Sunny fought bravely with determination and unwavering hope.
Sunny was a loving daughter and a devoted mother to her son, Dale, who was the light of her life. Sunny had many talents in so many areas and her creativity knew no end. One of her passions was baking and creating cheesecakes and other sweets that were as incredibly delicious as they were beautiful for her family and many friends with her home business, Pink Pineapple Delights. Her most recent employment was with Cheveux Salon as a receptionist with a group of ladies she absolutely loved.
Sunny is survived by her mother, Kathy Duke; her son, Dale Holley; and a special little one, Kenny Sams all of the residence. Also, her father, Lawrence Holley and numerous Aunts, Uncles and cousins.
She was predeceased by her stepfather, David Duke (Pops); her grandparents, Lucille and Grady Willis, Jack and Eunice Holley.
There will be a Celebration of Life for Sunny on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at 3:00 pm at Norris West End Chapel, 511 Church Avenue, Danville VA, officiated by Pastor Bob Yeaman of Hillcrest Baptist Church. Visitation with the family will take place at 2:00 pm before the Celebration of Life Service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Danville-Pittsylvania Cancer Association or Hillcrest Baptist Church.
May Sunny always be remembered for her courage, quick wit, her love and compassion for people and animals. She will always live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
Norris Funeral Services, West End Chapel is serving the family. Online condolences are encouraged and may be made at www.norrisfuneral.com
