Susan Lyn Krisha

Susan Lyn Krisha, 45 passed away peacefully at her home in Troutville, Virginia on Tuesday, April 15th, 2025.
Susan was raised in the Grandin neighborhood of Roanoke and lived in many places throughout her life, always finding peace in nature and seclusion. Susan had a deep love for creativity and art that carried throughout her life. She found beauty in everything and everybody, and she expressed her love through thoughtful handmade gifts, time spent with others, and acts of kindness. Susan is survived by family, including her mother and children, and her beloved dog, Baby.  

Susan's days were filled with creativity and passion. She was well versed in tie-dye art, jewelry making, collecting, collage art, and many other talents. Nothing she did was ever half-hearted—she poured love and care into everything, especially for her children and loved ones. Her home was filled with evidence of her artistic spirit and her heart.
She is survived by her daughter Marcie Krisha of Roanoke, sons Joseph Krisha and Noah Martin of Salem, and Shaun Martin of Roanoke; her mother Carolyn Krisha of Salem; and her sister Beth Gunter of Salem.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Bradley Free Clinic Hope Initiative, a cause close to Susan’s heart.

A time of remembrance will be held by the family at a later date.
Susan’s legacy of love, creativity, and kindness will live on in all who knew her.
