Susie Rebecca McPeak

Susie McPeak Poling,83, of Pulaski County went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 3, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband, John (Bill) Poling; father, Truman McPeak; mother, Irene J McPeak and husband, Donald Sowers; sisters, Pat O’Dell and Diane Crigger; and sister-in-law, Becky Tingler.

She is survived by her son, Denny Sowers and wife Debby; daughter, Kandy Sowers and lifelong friend Suzanne; granddaughter, Cara; grandson, Justin; great grandchildren, Victoria, Graham, Elizabeth and Charlie Ray; Brothers’ in-laws Dennis Crigger, Jerry O’Dell and Jerry Tingler;

sisters-in-law, Carol, JoAnn, Helen and Marjorie; nephews, Kevin Hurst, Jannel Shouse, Eric, Brian, and Darren O’Dell; great nieces, Helen, Elizabeth, Ireland, Alexandria, Madalin, Christy and Carrie Beth; great nephews, Mackenzie, Joshua Perry; special aunt, Anne McPeak; special friends, Missy, Kathy, Pat, Liz, Brenda, Beverly, Jim and Bobby.

Susie enjoyed traveling with family and friends, spending time with her church family at Heritage Church of God, family cookouts, and visiting with all of her young family members, where she was always interested to hear what was going on in their lives.

The family extends a very special thanks to the Carilion Hospice Team.

The family plans are to have a Private Celebration in Dublin, Virginia at a later time.
