Tami Altice Woody

Tami Altice Woody, age 59 of Sontag passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on July 11, 1965, the youngest child of the late Fred Altice Sr. and Nancy Berger Altice and was also preceded in death by her father-in-law, Joe Booker Woody; mother-in-law, Shirley Woody and sisters-in-law Joyce Altice, Donna Sink and Marcie Altice and infant nephew Isaiah Altice.

Tami was a graduate of Franklin County High School. Early in her career Tami worked at Cooper Wood and Erath Veneer, but found her calling when she became an in-home child care provider where she was affectionally known by her kids and their parents as NeeNee. Tami always planned special events and holiday parties for her kids. She touched the lives of many children and families, many who continue to love her as part of their family today.

Surviving are her husband, Joey Woody; son, Anthony Meeks (Jennifer); grandson and pride and joy, Asher Meeks; very special sister, Bonnie Hubbard; brothers Fred Altice Jr., Jerry Altice (June), Dana Altice, Sammy Altice (Joni); sister-in-law, Carolyn Woody; brother-in-law, Ronnie Rigney; special aunt, Sue Berger; nephews Chris Altice (Layne), Brian McBride (Angelia), Jason Altice (Heather), Josh Altice (Summer), Brandon Altice; nieces Mandy Altice and Miranda Altice; and many special great nephews and nieces and special friends Debra Earles, Angela Hurley and Cheryl Grindstaff.

Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 12, 2025 with Rev. Eric Winn officiating. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Woody family cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
