Tamitha "Tami" Angel Kellerhalls
Tamitha “Tami” Angel Kellerhalls, 54, of Charlotte, Virginia, passed away Monday, February 24, 2025, at Duke University Hospital. She was born on September 8, 1970, in Martinsville, Virginia, to Larry G. Martin and Patsy Rorrer Martin. She is preceded in death by her beloved fur baby, Mia; grandparents, Marie and Lee Gibson, Audrey and Frank Rorrer, Sr.; grandfather, Leonard “PeeWee” Martin; uncle, Gary Martin; and two aunts, Mary Ann Adams and Virginia Dare Martin.
Tami was a beloved member of Bethel Baptist Church and was affectionately referred to by her parents as their “miracle baby.” Despite facing health challenges, Tami maintained a vibrant and joyful spirit, always showing a deep love for life. She had a special bond with animals, especially her beloved fur babies, Bubba and Koda, whom she adored. Her parents often described her as a petite woman with a larger-than-life personality. Tami was known for her sense of humor, always cracking jokes and doing her best to bring a smile to everyone around her.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her loving husband, Wallace “Wally” Kellerhalls; one stepson, Jason Kellerhalls; two sisters, Wendy M. Martin and Julie Beck; God-daughter, Hannah Skinner; three aunts, Carolyn Sue and Larry Brown, Shelby Turner, and Ingrid Martin; two uncles, Frank Rorrer and Calvin Adams; one great-aunt, Libby Shelton; two fur babies, Bubba and Koda; and numerous other family members and friends.
The family will welcome friends on Monday, March 3, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Bassett Funeral Service Chapel. They will also receive friends on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Bethel Baptist Church in Chase City, Virginia. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM at Bethel Baptist Church where Pastor Calvin Adams will be officiating, with the burial following at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
