Teamon Sanford Lackey

Teamon Sanford Lackey, 93, of Stuart, Virginia, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2024. He was born August 21, 1930, in Patrick Springs, Virginia, to the late Cain William Lackey and Melinda Ann Rakes.Teamon was a member of Old Center Primitive Baptist Church. He was an avid hunter, loved NASCAR, working outside in his garden and yard. He enjoyed traveling and was very observant and sensitive to the changes in the world during his lifetime. He enjoyed a special relationship with his granddaughter, Taedra.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Daisy Stovall Lackey; sisters, Ethel Hyler, and Christine Cobler; brothers, Phalum Lackey, Hansel Lackey, and Clarence Lackey.He is survived by his son Michael Wayne Lackey; Sister, Viola Scearce and brother, George Lackey.The funeral will be Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 12:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Reverend A.C. Palmer officiating. Burial will follow at Lackey Family Cemetery, 1931 Egg Farm Road, Bassett, Virginia. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
