Ted Allen Rader

Ted Allen Rader, 69, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ (John 3:16) on March 7th, 2024. He was preceded in death by his father and stepmother, Tony and Jane Rader; and stepfather, Chester Young. He is survived by his wife of nearly 40 years, Cheryl; son, Joshua Rader (Whitney); daughter, Jenna Rasnick (J.R.); grandchildren, Everett and Kenneth Rasnick, Clara Rader; step-grandchildren, Conner, Caroline and Charlotte; mother, Clara Young; siblings, Pam Jamison, Kim Musgrove (Donald), Paul Rader, Tony Rader (Lisa); and numerous other family members. He was a special man who was loving, kind, and a friend to many. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a contribution, please consider Saint Jude Children’s Hospital, Fincastle Baptist Church Missions, or become an organ donor. Ted received a special gift of a heart from an organ donor, and in return he became an organ donor to help others. Viewing for our beloved will be at the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home on Saturday, March 16th, from 12 noon – 2pm, with the funeral service at 2.
